Smarty Pants!

My little smarty pants impresses me more and more each day. He seems to be learning so much at this age and his is communicating with me so much better! Suddenly he is talking phrases and everything sounds more clear. I cannot believe how fast he is growing up!! He will be 22 months old this week, where does the time go??? Today he said his ABCs all the way up to the letter J and he counted to 10. I had no idea he could do either!

Chess has been traveling alot this summer and he was gone over the weekend this past weekend so Nanna and Paw Paw came in for a quick trip to keep us company!! I thought that was sweet, Paw Paw had just gotten off of a night shift and slept in the car while mom drove here...what a trooper!! Poor Nanna had to get up at 4am to get ready and leave....i sure do love my parents!! I miss having all of our family closeby, but it's always nice to have them come and visit :)

In other news, I signed Charlie up for soccertots. He will start on Aug 13th and go Fridays at 9am for 8 weeks! I hope enjoys it. He is really into soccer lately. This will be our first time to do something where he as to listen and do what all the other kids are doing and not whatever he wants so we will see how it goes!! Since it's an 18 - 26 month group, I'm sure there will be plenty of running around and chaos, but it should still be fun!

I will leave you with some pics since I didn't post any last time! The first one is from a few weeks ago. I was in the kitchen cooking and heard a noise. It was Charlie, he put on Uncle Rhetts hat and rolled the computer chair out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. Silly fella! The other two are from Storytime Live last week! Enjoy :)

Storytime Live

My friend Hollie and I took Charlie and his friend Aubree to see Storytime Live with all the Nickolodeon characters they love! It was in Jackson so drove in yesterday and spent the night. I think they had a good time, Dora was thier favorite, the others didn't really look like the real characters on tv. It was a fun little trip and I think the kids enjoyed it for sure!

Last weekend we had a quick trip in to Baton Rouge for Matt's birthday party. Charlie had a great time, he really misses everyone when we are apart!

Other than that, I've been getting in touch with my crafty side and playing around on my new sewing/embrodiery machine! I'm enjoying doing some little projects here and there! Charlie decides when I have time to do it and when I don't! I guess that is his job and he sure is good at it!

Not too many updates to report on our end. We are gradually introducing potty training to Charlie. I still don't think he is ready, but he likes sitting on the potty every now and then and he gets a sticker on his chart when he tee tees. He gets a kick out of that! I'm just taking it slow until he starts showing signs that he is ready to lose the diaper. He almost has all of his baby teeth in, we are waiting on the two bottom K9 teeth to come in right now and he is having a time with them! Then he will have his 2 year molars and I think that is all for a while!

Well, I'm having trouble posting pics so I'll try to add some later!

Life is good

Well, I finally decided to start a blog. I know lots of family and friends wants to keep up with what is going on here in Olive Branch! This will also be a good way to share pictures and keep everyone up to date with what is going on with baby green #2!

Our big news of the week is that we got a kitten! She doesn't have an official name yet, we've been calling her Kitty Kitty! Charlie loves her. We were not sure if we were going to be able to keep her or not, because I've heard it's not a good idea when you are pregnant. But I called the doc, and he said it's fine as long as Chess does the litter box (fine by me!) Charlie really loves her, he has the best time with her and is looking for her as soon as he wakes up!

In other news, I had a check up for green bean#2 last week and all is good. The heart rate was a strong 160 bmp. No more ultrasounds until around the first week in September and that is when we will be able to tell if it's a boy or girl!! I'm taking votes for boy names, I'd like something that goes well with Ritchie. I'm not sure if I want the first or middle name to be Ritchie yet, but would likie to use it for sure!! For a girl, we want to name her Olivia Lorriane, we had picked this out with Charlie but obviously didn't use it :)

July has been a busy month for the greens! We have have vistitors galore and lots of fun and outings with the playgroup and our new friends here in Mississippi! Theresa and Lyle came to visit with thier little baby Ethan on June 24th. Last weekend Carley and Erik with thier little girl Addison (Charlie's age). Then this past weekend, Donna, Riley, and Hailey came for the weekend! Of coures we took them all to see downtown memphis, Beale Street and the ducks at The Peabody. We also took Charlie and Addision to see the fireworks at a local park on the 4th! We took Riley, Hailey, and Charlie to Mud Island River park and the kids had a blast! We have had a great time and Charlie has really enjoyed the visitors!! Here are some pics!

As far as playdates go, we have been to the fire museum in Memphis where Charlie had a blast!! Also, my friend Hollie and I took our kids to the Disney store. The kids were so excited, they had fun, they were singing and dancing and playing with all the toys!! Afterwards, we got a cookie at the cookie company and rode the caroseul and the train!! As far as Charlie and Aubree were could tell, we went to Disney WORLD!

Well, I guess that is all for today, I'll post again soon! Check back often for updates and pictures!
