Cardio Followup

Well, the dr. called back and was a little worried about what he saw on teh monitor.  He decided it would be best if I go on medication to keep my heartrate from getting too high.  Don't worry, I checked with my OB and it will not hurt Aiden.  I'm only taking 1/2 a pill twice a day and I get to go back and see him on my Bday...oh boy LOL.  My mom and dad are going to come up and go with me because Chess has to be out of town that week and I didn't want to go alone....not to mention I didn't wanna spend my bday up here all by my lonesome!!

Anyway, things are good for now.  I'll keep everyone posted!

Cardio Appt

Over the last month or so I've had a few "episodes" where my heart is pounding and beating really fast.  It's kindof hard to catch my breath.  It comes on for no reason and last about 1 to 1.5 hrs.  I called my OB last week after it happend and went it.  He did an ultrasound on Aiden and everything was fine with the baby :)  He also wanted me to followup with a cardiologist.  I saw him the next day at noon and he thinks I have what is called Mitral Valve Prolapse.  You can look it up on the internet for more info, but he thinks it is a mild enough case that hopefully no treatment will be needed.  He said I'm having these sympotoms because of the pregnancy and while they may be scary they are not harmful to me or the baby!  So that is good news.  He had me wear at 24 hr heart monitor and I happend to have an "episode" while wearing it so I'm waiting on a call back from him this week to see what that test looked like.  I also am going back on Dec 8th for a followup EKG to see how things look.  Hopefully it is like he said and the symptoms will subside after the baby is born and we won't have to worry about it in the long run!  Got about 10 more weeks until baby is born, I can deal with it until then.

This past weekend I took Charlie to a fall fest a local church and it was really nice.  I didn't get a ton of pictures because Chess was home watching the LSU game and I was trying to keep up with little man and take pics all myself!  There were several inflatable bouncers, a couple of slides, trunk or treat, food, and music.  We had a ball!

We will try to catch a couple more fall fasts this coming weekend...maybe dad will join us since LSU is off this weekend!

Sunday for church Charlie finally got to wear the outfit that Erik, Carley, and Addison gave him for his 1st birthday!!!  It is 18 mo, but it ran pretty big....look at this handsome little fella!!

Hope everyone is has a wonderful week....Charlie is having playdate today with his buddy Aubree because her mom had surgery this morning so I have my hands full!!!  They are having fun though.



 

26 weeks along and feeling it!!

Boy! Have I been tired lately...really dragging around.  It's pretty hard with Charlie, but we are making it!  I laid down for about an hour today and Charlie wasn't sleepy!  It was interested, resting with one eye open and both ears listening.  He mostly stayed right around me piling pillows on top of me and toys and such!  I just had to lay for a few minutes!!!  I better get over all this sleepiness before January, I don't think Aiden will let me nap daily :)

We took another trip to Baton Rouge last weekend.  We had a birthday party to go to and I also went to Amanda Causey's baby shower!! It was a fun weekend and we ended up staying until the next Thursday!  We met  Donna and the girls at the pumpkin patch in Albany. That was fun!

I got a much needed hairdue by my buddy Kristen and got to snuggle her adorably chubby little Lizzy!!  We made the rounds for Charlie to hang out with all his grandparents, saw Mike the Tiger, and of course ate some delicious Louisiana food!!

Chess was off work all weekend when we got back and we just hung around as a little family and enjoyed our time together.  He's been so busy at work, we were all excited to have a lazy weekend at home!!  He went right back to it though, he worked until 10 pm last night :(  Hopefully next month he can take a breather!

Not much else to report, just trying to take it easy and get pleny of rest in teh last 13 weeks before Aiden's arrival!!

And Mr. 2 year old today!

How our life has changed in two years...of course for the good.  Can't imagine our life with out this little fellow!!  He woke us up before 6 this morning (his favorite pasttime).  I got dressed and went on teh search for donuts.  Apparantly there is no donut shop in Olive Branch, MS so I ended up at BP where they had a case of Krispy Cream (no chocolate :( ) He ate a couple of donut holes and really doesn't seem to know it's his birthday!  I am going to take him to the park to play and have pizza and cupcakes after while!  I hope he really enjoys his day.  I will do my best to make it all about him (how is that different than any other day, right??)

His birthday party was last weekend and I was a fun time!  I think he enjoyed it and we all enjoyed all of our company.  We had Nanna, PawPaw, Gran, Pops, Maw Maw and PaPaw Green, Aunt Kimmie, Uncle Jeff, Matt, Aunt Tracy, Aunt Julie, Aunt Lisa, and Jill all come in town for the party!  Charlie was thrilled to have everyone he loves in one place!  We missed the Aunt Donna, Uncle Lane, Riley, Hailey, Uncle Rhett, and Uncle Forrest though!  Hopefully we wll see them all very soon!  The party was at my friend HOllie's house and we had a hayride, bouncer, pinata and all the kids had fun running around and playing! Of course he got a ton of stuff too!

What a week!

I picked Charlie up from his Baton Rouge visit in Jackson on Sunday, we met Gran and Pops.  They were waiting for us at a neat little mall letting Charlie play in the water sprayer.  He was having a ball...I noticed he was a little bit fussy, but figured he was just worn out from too much fun.  Well, Sunday night just before bed, he sarted running fever :( It got up to about 102.5 and gave us a restless night.  Monday he was cranky, but not too warm so I didn't worry about bringing him right to the dr.  Well, Monday night the fever was back.  His poor little body was burning up and he was getting sick to his stomach.  After some motrin and some snuggling with mommy he was able to fall back asleep, but was up by 5AM...YIKES.  Well, I brought him to the dr, and they said it was probably a virus, that much I figured.  He has been doing much better since Monday night, just extra cranky and that combined with still waking up before 5 is making for a tough week for him and I.  Chess had to go up north for the week and Charlie's best bud (and her mommy) are out of town for the week too.  They are pretty much the only people we hang out with on a regular basis so it's been a tough week!  We will survive though.  We met up with the moms group at the zoo today.  It got up in the 90's which is it hasn't done here in a couple of weeks.  We enjoyed it for a while, but Charlie ended up falling asleep and I was hot and worn out so we headed home!  The tiger was his favorite...he thought it was Mike!

Tomorrow we are meeting them at Incredible Pizza and I'm gonna run to the party store to finish up getting stuff for Charlie's 2nd birthday party!! I cannot belive he is going to be two years old...time flies!

Just a funny little sidenote...yesterday at the store Charlie just had to have some spiderman popcicles when I tossed them in the buggie I decided to pick up some fudge pops for me and Aiden :)  Well, guess what Charlie likes...

Here, There and EVERYWHERE

That's how we feel lately!  We've been running around and staying busy doing this and that.  Thursday I met my mom in Jackson and she took Charlie for a couple of nights.  Ms. Kendra has him now for the weekend and I will meet her on Sunday in Jackson to pick the little booger up.  I signed up for a booth at a flea market and Charlie has been asking for everyone so I figured it was the perfect weekend! We sure do miss him though, the house is a little too quiet for our liking!

I went back to the dr today and everything is good with me and baby Aiden.  His heartrate was still in teh 150s and that is great.  They did an ultrasound and check everything from his brain, to his heart, to his kidneys, they even checked his nose and lip!!!  Everything looked great.  He is weighing about a pound and measuring right on target!!  We are planning to do a csection around Jan 17th (39 weeks) and it will be put on teh books about 3 weeks out, so maybe a little after Christmas!  We are excited, I've been starting to feel him move around a lot and it is such an amazing feeling!!!  I have some more pics, but I will upload them later on.  I'm sleepy tonight and can't get my scanner to work (HAHA).  I really have been so much more worn out with this pregancy than I remember with Charlie, I'm not sure why.  I haven't been sleeping great, we went out tonight and bought a body pillow for me to cuddle so hopefully that helps LOL.

I was at Gymboree today for a pretty good sale they were having and I could resisit.  I had to get these outfits for Charlie and Aiden....

I'm hoping they can wear them home from the hospital and maybe even get some pics taken ;)

Well, Charlie and daddy watched thier first LSU football game of the season last weekend.  I think Charlie really enjoyed it, he has been loving all of the LSU fight songs and anything to do with football for a while, so watching the game was fun for him.  Of course, he conked out at halftime, but he tried his best HAHA. His dad is so proud that he is loving football and LSU in particular!  Here is a pic of the two watching the game

Keeping Busy!

Its the same old same old around here.  Keeping busy as usual!!  Charlie's new obsession is LSU Football and his daddy is sooooo very proud!  He likes to listen to the fight song over and over, have me sing the fight song all day long, he watches his baby tiger dvd and even wants me to pull up the band and mike the tiger on youtube for him to watch LOL.  Hopefully he will enjoy sitting and watching an LSU football with daddy just as much so I can have a few hours of quite time, but I doubt it!

Charlie is really growing and turning into a talkative little booger!! He says new things everyday, sentences almost.  Some things are pretty hard to understand,but some things are clear as day!  He woke me up this morning and told me he poo pooed in the bed LOL...actually it was just a wet diaper that leaked, but it's amazing to have him start telling me things. He helped daddy wash the car this weekend.  He had fun, he loves helping us out with everything.  It went good until Charlie started dipping his scrub brush in teh dirt and rubbing it on the car rather than the soap bucket HAHA

I've been sewing up a storm the past couple of days.  My friend and I signed up for a booth at a little flea market in town.  It was cheap to sign up and we figured it was a few days out of the house and we could try to sell some stuff!  Charlie is going to Baton Rouge to visit a few days so I won't have to worry about him.  I know I'm gonna have to find a babysitter around here, but it's a hard thing to do!! You just never know with people these days!
